    People with big sins do not have that much merit to offset their sins and go to hell. For example, if you have harmed the society and the progress of mankind, you cannot offset your sins.
    If merits offset sins, if there are some merits left, you can still enter heaven in the next life. If there are some sins left, you will go to hell.
    Do not do good deeds because they are small, and do not do evil deeds because they are small.
